Partnership for improved fire protection: Hekatron and MOBOTIX combine expertise for intelligent thermal early warning systems

September 12, 2025

MOBOTIX AG is intensifying its strategic cooperation with Hekatron Vertriebs GmbH. The aim is to bring innovative fire protection solutions with sophisticated thermal technology to the market. The complete solution for early detection of thermal risks is now part of the Hekatron product portfolio – and stands for maximum safety in demanding areas of application. The system is technologically supported by the fire early detection box (BFE box)* from ITES GmbH, a compact, intelligent unit that bundles all central functions and enables standard-compliant integration into fire alarm technology.

Early detection instead of firefighting: technology for greater safety

The system is based on intelligent thermal technology from MOBOTIX, which detects temperature changes and critical thermal developments in real time – long before a fire breaks out. In conjunction with Hekatron’s established fire alarm systems, this results in a powerful early warning system that can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructures.

Hekatron expands portfolio with pioneering thermal solution

With the addition of the thermal early fire detection solution, Hekatron is strengthening its position as a comprehensive solution provider for fire alarm technology. Specialist installers benefit from a coordinated overall system, high planning reliability and proven support.

‘The solution detects heat development at an early stage and can be seamlessly combined with classic fire alarm technology,’ says Daniel Triebswetter, expert for extinguishing control at Hekatron. ‘It offers a reliable solution, especially in demanding environments with dirt, moisture or structural challenges. This enables us to detect fire risks even earlier.’

Certified integration – smooth operation in the Hekatron environment

For system integration, ITES GmbH offers a standard-compliant connection between MOBOTIX thermal cameras and Hekatron fire alarm systems with its certified solution, including a BFE connection box. The precise measurement data from the cameras is reliably transmitted to the Hekatron central control technology via the BFE box – as the central link for smooth communication.

“Our BFE solution combines the strengths of MOBOTIX cameras with the Hekatron system world, thus ensuring seamless integration. This creates a ready-to-connect, practical special fire detector for demanding fire protection applications,” explains Alexander Iglhaut, Managing Director of ITES GmbH. The system is listed as a standard item in the Hekatron catalogue and is the only thermal solution to have official system approval from a fire alarm control panel manufacturer.

Focus on partnership – developing solutions together

The collaboration between Hekatron and MOBOTIX goes beyond the mere use of technology: both companies are committed to long-term development, coordinated training programmes and technical support, directly for the market.

“The combination of our thermal technology and Hekatron’s expertise in fire alarm technology creates real added value for the market. Together, we are creating intelligent solutions for modern fire protection requirements,‘ explains Dr Christian Cabirol, CTO of MOBOTIX AG. ’Our collaboration with Hekatron and ITES combines technological excellence with market-proven system integration – a strong partnership for maximum security.”
