PCS Systemtechnik GmbH starts the new fiscal year with a large order backlog and solid sales growth

October 17, 2022

PCS Systemtechnik ended its financial year on 30 June 2022, achieving an order intake of 22.8 million euros for the first time in its history. Despite the challenges of the last few months, PCS was able to increase sales by 4.8%, to a total of 22 million euros. The staff was also further increased to 155 colleagues. PCS is thus in a solid position and remains a reliable business partner for company-wide building security and time and attendance. PCS Managing Directors Walter Elsner, Ulrich Kastner-Jung and Matthias Kleemeier were pleased with the positive result.

Growing demand for building security and time recording.

Walter Elsner emphasises: “Building security and time and attendance are growth markets. Due to the recent ruling of the Federal Labour Court in Erfurt, we expect an increasing demand for digital solutions for legally compliant, digital working time recording in the coming months. PCS offers excellent digital solutions with the INTUS terminals for time recording and the software products from its large partner network.”

Ulrich Kastner-Jung sees the positive figures as confirmation of the sound business orientation: “We have positioned ourselves well in good time so that we have been able to ensure excellent delivery capability despite the supply chain challenges. In view of the global economic situation, on the one hand, it is our task to responsibly manage the company increasingly on sight at the moment. On the other hand, the strong economic vitality of PCS – especially complemented by another good order backlog – allows us to continue to consistently develop attractive, digital service offerings. Thus, we are working intensively on digital solutions and state-of-the-art services, such as “Smart Managed Services.” Access control is a strong business area at PCS, which is being further developed according to customer requirements. Matthias Kleemeier explains: “For example, companies in the KRITIS environment have special protection needs, as they have to secure system-relevant infrastructures. PCS previously supplied wired online and offline access control solutions. With the new INTUS Flex product line, we are now supplementing the range of solutions with radio-networked, battery-operated locking components that can be quickly and easily integrated into existing access control systems.”

PCS software partners offer time management and workforce management for both on-premise and cloud applications.

Matthias Kleemeier also highlights the cooperation with the cooperation partners: “Our software partners offer our joint customers a wide range of smart solutions for time and attendance, workforce management and workforce scheduling, industry-neutral and for all requirements.” The expansion of the cooperation bore visible fruit in 2021/22, as PCS was able to award particularly many software houses with the status of “Gold and Excellence Partner” in the last financial year. “PCS is in an excellent position even in these challenging times. Our customers can rely on us for the long term. We are the reliable partner for the transformation into digitalisation,” Walter Elsner concludes.
