August 22, 2023

  • Training of first aiders, company paramedics, paramedics and emergency paramedics
  • Nationwide service group strengthens strategic orientation as an integral provider of special and system solutions
  • Hanover-based company perfectly complements the offerings of the KÖTTER Academy as well as the existing competencies in the field of fire protection and emergency medical services

The KÖTTER group of companies, top 10 provider of facility services and the largest family-owned company in the security industry in Germany, is pushing ahead with its strategic orientation as an innovative partner for Smart Service Solutions. The latest building block is the acquisition of all shares in the training and further education specialist MedGravity, based in Hanover, by KÖTTER Akademie GmbH & Co. KG. The transaction will take effect retroactively from 1 January 2023.
Through the merger, the nationwide service group is expanding its portfolio, in particular to include high-quality specialist training for companies, rescue and medical services. The focus is on the training and further education of first aiders as well as company, rescue and emergency paramedics. A particular plus point from the point of view of clients and participants are the specific additional offers with which MedGravity convinces. For example, the company offers eLearning training for paramedics as well as part-time training for emergency paramedics (more at https://www.koetter.de/medgravity).
“I am looking forward to the successful cooperation with the MedGravity team. It offers a wide range of opportunities to grow further together,” said Friedrich P. Kötter, Member of the Board of Directors of the KÖTTER Security Group. “With the integration, our family-owned company will therefore specifically strengthen its position as a leading provider of holistic security, service and training offerings. On the one hand, MedGravity’s portfolio is an ideal match for the services of our training and further education institution KÖTTER Academy. On the other hand, the cooperation between MedGravity and KÖTTER Fire & Service, which also belongs to our group, offers additional potential, for example in the field of temporary employment. This allows us, for example, to offer our customers replacement personnel such as paramedics while their own staff are with us for training.”
Customers and employees also benefit from the almost 90 years of experience of the family-owned company in the field of security and service as well as the almost 25-year market presence of the KÖTTER Academy, which, with currently 14 locations, is the largest specialist security school in Germany certified by the Federal Association of the Security Industry (BDSW). Further plus points are the nationwide presence of the KÖTTER group of companies as well as service packages from a single source with security, cleaning and personnel services.
