July 11, 2025

Bird Home Automation GmbH has been successfully certified by TÜV Saarland in accordance with the internationally recognised DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024 standard. With the completion of this comprehensive audit, the company has demonstrated that it meets the highest standards in the field of information security and has established an effective information security management system (ISMS).

The ISO/IEC 27001 standard is the world’s leading standard for information security management and defines requirements for the identification, assessment and control of security risks within a company. With this certification, DoorBird underlines its clear commitment to protecting sensitive information, complying with legal requirements and continuously improving its security processes.

TÜV Saarland is one of the most renowned testing and certification bodies in Germany. With its independent and recognised expertise, it stands for the highest quality and safety standards – especially in the field of information security. TÜV not only tests processes and structures, but also their implementation in practice.

The scope of the certification covers all business areas of DoorBird/Bird Home Automation GmbH: Development, production, maintenance, sales and support of IP video door intercom systems, including accessories, software and services. The certification thus covers all essential processes that are crucial for the quality, functionality and security of DoorBird products.

“For us, information security is not just a legal requirement, but an integral part of our corporate philosophy. For us, cybersecurity is not just about technical measures, but also about a mindset and awareness that we integrate into all areas of our company. For us, a strong stance on cybersecurity means acting proactively, identifying and minimising risks at an early stage, and continuously adapting to the ever-changing threat landscape,” says Sascha Keller, CEO of Bird Home Automation GmbH. ‘With the successful ISO/IEC 27001 certification, we are demonstrating to our customers, partners and employees that we place the highest demands on data and information protection.’

The certification strengthens the trust of end customers, business partners and authorities in the DoorBird brand and confirms that the company meets the challenges of the digital world with professional and structured security measures. DoorBird is sending an important signal with this award, particularly in the field of IP-based door communication, where data protection and system security are key requirements.
