This year’s TeleTrusT Innovation Award 2025 was presented to DATAGROUP Defense IT Services, a division of DATAGROUP Business Solutions GmbH in Siegburg. The award ceremony took place during the TeleTrusT reception in front of an audience of experts in Berlin. Andreas Wiewel, Director of Sales, and Dustin Schröter, Sales Manager, accepted the award on behalf of DATAGROUP Defense IT Services.
The award was given for the DATAGROUP Defence Cloud, a specialised cloud solution that is operated entirely in Germany and was developed specifically for security-critical sectors, in particular the armaments and defence industry. The platform meets the requirements of the ‘classified – for official use only’ (VS-NfD) confidentiality level in accordance with ISO 27001 based on IT baseline protection, including the CON.11.1 module.
The BSI-certified information infrastructure provides a highly secure collaboration platform for OEMs, suppliers and consumers. It enables the confidential and compliant exchange of sensitive information, allowing companies to ensure security and compliance in projects with the highest requirements.
The winner was selected by a jury of experts consisting of TeleTrusT board members Prof. Dr Norbert Pohlmann, Karsten U. Bartels, Dr Kim Nguyen, Dr André Kudra, and experts Thomas Floß and Prof. Dr Helmut Reimer. Solutions from 8com, ContinueComm, EgoMind, Generation Secure, Genua, KOBIL, Mitigant, MTRIX, RedMimicry and TRIOVEGA were also nominated for the 2025 Innovation Award.
The TeleTrusT Innovation Award is presented annually to companies or institutions that have developed an innovative, trustworthy and practical IT security solution. The jury evaluates the submissions according to criteria such as the adequacy of the security level, the integration and transparency of the security functions, user-friendliness, interoperability – ideally at European level – and the solution’s contribution to the economic stability of the company.
With the DATAGROUP Defence Cloud, TeleTrusT recognises a solution that combines high security standards with practical applicability while meeting the special requirements of critical industries.
