Hannes Steiner is new Vice President DACH, Nicholas Pook takes over responsibility for channel sales in the region

Trend Micro, one of the world’s leading providers of cyber security solutions, today announced organisational changes in the German-speaking region. As of 1 January 2024, the company has bundled its activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in a newly created DACH business unit, which will be headed by Hannes Steiner. Overall responsibility for the channel in the region lies with Nicholas Pook.

The aim of the consolidation is to achieve synergy effects, further promote networking within the company and make even better use of existing expertise. Customers of the Japanese IT security provider in the DACH region will therefore benefit from even more targeted support from their contacts in future.

Hannes Steiner will take over the management of the business in the newly created business unit as Vice President DACH. He has held various senior sales positions at the company since 2016, most recently as Vice President Germany.

“In recent years, we have succeeded in both significantly expanding and fundamentally transforming our business in Germany. Thanks to a clear focus on intensifying customer relationships and our comprehensive platform strategy, we are becoming a strategically important partner for the success of more and more customers,” explains Hannes Steiner, Vice President DACH. “I am delighted to be able to continue on this extremely positive path with our customers, employees and partners in Austria and Switzerland.”

Nicholas Pook is the new Head of Partner Management & Cloud Alliances DACH

Nicholas Pook will assume responsibility for channel sales in the entire DACH region. He has been with the company since January 2021, most recently as Senior Manager Strategic Partners & Cloud Alliances Germany. In his new role, he will report to Hannes Steiner.

“Only by working closely with our partners can we effectively protect our mutual customers. A strong channel ecosystem and trusting, strategic partnerships are an important foundation for our business,” says Nicholas Pook, Head of Partner Management & Cloud Alliances DACH. “We will continue to intensify our relationships with our partners, invest together in the expansion of skills and technology and thus be even more successful together. An important component of this will be our new partner programme, which we will be introducing to our partners worldwide shortly.”
