Cybersecurity provider TrendAI is reorganising its sales management in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Oliver Becker is taking on the role of Vice President of Sales, with responsibility for the DACH region. At the same time, the company is strengthening its enterprise and new customer business.

TrendAI, the enterprise division of Trend Micro Incorporated specialising in AI-powered cybersecurity, is reorganising its sales organisation for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Oliver Becker is the new Vice President of Sales for the DACH region. He reports directly to Frank Schwittay, Senior Vice President Europe, and will have overall responsibility for regional sales operations going forward.

Becker succeeds Hannes Steiner, who, according to TrendAI, has left the company at his own request.

At the same time, Virginia Lo Re, previously Head of Strategic Sales, is taking on the role of Director of Sales Enterprise. In this role, she will report to Becker and will be specifically responsible for the enterprise business going forward.

Focus on new customer business

André T. von Ameln is joining the management team. As Head of New Logo Sales, he will drive the expansion of new customer business in the DACH region. He reports to Virginia Lo Re.

Von Ameln has more than 20 years’ experience in cybersecurity sales. His previous roles include positions at Sophos, Secureworks and Symantec, amongst others. With his appointment, TrendAI is underlining its commitment to strengthening not only its existing enterprise business but, in particular, its efforts to attract new customers.

“I am delighted that we have once again been able to fill key leadership positions internally,” explains Frank Schwittay. Oliver Becker will continue to lead the business in the DACH region, whilst André von Ameln will bring additional expertise to the expansion of new customer business.

Through this reorganisation, TrendAI is combining continuity within its existing sales organisation with a stronger focus on growth. For the cybersecurity provider, the closer integration of Enterprise Sales and New Logo Sales is likely to be particularly crucial in further expanding its market position in the DACH region and addressing customers and channel partners in a more targeted manner.
