Warning strike on Monday, February 24

February 23, 2025

Passengers should expect delays and flight cancellations

The service trade union Verdi has announced a full-day warning strike at Düsseldorf Airport for Monday, February 24, 2025. Among others, employees who work in administration, at check-in, in aircraft handling, in passenger and crew transport and in baggage handling have been called upon to stop working.

The warning strike will severely disrupt flight operations. Emergency services will be maintained. Passengers should expect delays, rescheduling and flight cancellations. As things stand (Sunday, February 23, 2025, 4 p.m.), at least 30 percent of the 334 take-offs and landings originally planned at Düsseldorf Airport will be canceled. The airport expects further cancellations today and tomorrow.

The airport therefore asks all passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline or tour operator before arriving at the airport.

Late Night Check-in the evening before is no longer available.
