Veeam and HPE deepen partnership and unveil next-generation data protection

December 5, 2025

Veeam Software, the global leader in data protection, announced a significant expansion of its strategic cooperation with HPE at HPE Discover in Barcelona. The aim of the partnership is to provide businesses with an integrated, simpler and even more resilient data protection architecture.

‘Trust, resilience and availability are critical to business today,’ said John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer at Veeam. ‘Our strengthened collaboration with HPE gives customers the confidence to protect and recover their data anywhere.’

At the heart of the expansion are several new integrations. These include a new plug-in for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, which is currently in beta and is expected to be available in early 2026. It enables hypervisor-based backups and extends protection to hybrid workloads. In addition, the container services of HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software have been validated as Veeam-compatible.

HPE Private Cloud Business Edition will also be offered together with the Veeam Data Platform in the future. This will enable companies to replace complex individual solutions with a unified platform that offers greater data portability, faster deployment and a simplified user experience.

Another focus is on optimising storage and efficiency. The integration of Veeam with HPE StoreOnce Catalyst enables data reduction of up to 60:1, while delivering higher recovery rates and lower operating costs. NVMe-enabled performance is now supported for HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000, including new snapshot capabilities for near-instant recovery.

New joint services around cyber resilience, including security posture workshops and disaster recovery maturity assessments, are designed to further help organisations strengthen their resilience.

‘This announcement underscores the close innovation partnership between HPE and Veeam,’ said Patrick Osborne, SVP Hybrid Cloud Technology Acceleration at HPE. ‘Together, we are setting new standards for resilience and simplicity in modern IT environments.’
