February 16, 2023

Veridos is once again providing the technological solution for access control at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), which will be held at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel from 17 to 19 February 2023. In addition to the company’s eAccess system, which quickly and securely identifies visitors directly at the entrance portals, the concept also includes access cards developed by Giesecke+Devrient (G+D).

A large number of high-ranking state and government representatives as well as important decision-makers from business and the global security industry have also announced their attendance at the conference in 2023. The event will focus on current security-related issues in global politics and their challenges.

Veridos, a joint venture of Bundesdruckerei and G+D, relies on a robust and updated version of its eAccess system for the identification of participants at the entrance controls. The company supplies the Munich security conference with state-of-the-art software which, thanks to ongoing updates and extensive testing, meets the latest requirements in terms of system stability and security. The Veridos eAccess system verifies the identity of participants by remotely reading the security chips integrated in the access cards in combination with their facial images.

As in previous years, G+D is supplying the access cards for the high-profile event. The badges are equipped with various security features such as optic variable ink and micro symbols. The security and communication chips are supplied by NXP® Semiconductors, a leading global provider of secure connectivity solutions for integrated applications.

The thermal transfer printed personalised access credentials allow verification even from several metres away and are also verifiable with RFID readers and smartphones if required.

“With our advanced technology and expertise in identification solutions, we meet the high requirements of the Munich Security Conference,” explains Marc-Julian Siewert, CEO at Veridos. “The combination of technologies from G+D, NXP® Semiconductors and Veridos provides a robust and secure identification and access solution , enabling conference attendees to check-in conveniently and securely.”
