VIDEOR strengthens its Swiss business through a majority stake in Videotronic AG

March 27, 2026

Security distributor VIDEOR E. Hartig GmbH is systematically expanding its market presence in Switzerland and has acquired a majority stake in Videotronic AG. With this move, the company aims to intensify its local services and further strengthen its customer focus in the Swiss market.

Videotronic AG, based in the greater Zurich area, will continue to operate as an independent company. In future, it will operate under the suffix “a VIDEOR Company”. Operational management will remain with Managing Director Christos Sgouros, whose team will continue to be responsible for key services.

Focus on customer proximity and service quality

With this investment, VIDEOR is responding to the growing importance of the Swiss market. Managing Director Dominik Mizdrak particularly highlights the long-standing customer relationships, which are set to be further strengthened through the partnership. The aim is to ensure faster processes and higher service quality through local structures.

A key benefit of the collaboration lies in the greater regionalisation of services. These include, in particular, the processing of returns, project support, commissioning services and training. These services will continue to be provided on-site by Videotronic’s experienced team.

Synergies in video security and access control

Both companies possess long-standing expertise in the fields of video security and access control. By combining these capabilities, synergies are to be realised and the joint service portfolio strengthened.

Videotronic also regards the partnership as a strategic move. Managing Director Christos Sgouros emphasises the benefits for customers and the company alike.

The merger creates a strong, customer-centric entity with a clear focus on sustainable growth in the Swiss security market.

Strategic expansion in the DACH region

With this majority stake, VIDEOR is underlining its expansion strategy in the DACH region and increasingly relying on local presence as a competitive advantage.

The Swiss market is regarded as demanding, yet at the same time experiencing strong growth – particularly in the field of integrated security solutions.

The integration of Videotronic as an independent brand within the VIDEOR Group makes it possible to retain existing structures whilst benefiting from the resources and networks of an international distributor. For customers, this means one thing above all: faster processes, expanded services and stronger on-site technical support.
