Videx introduces new 7‘ hands-free monitor with smart integration

October 24, 2025

Security and intercom specialist Videx Security is expanding its successful 6700 series with a new model: the 7’ hands-free monitor 6789. The device brings modern features that were previously only available in IP systems to Videx’s popular 2-wire range.

The 6789 monitor, designed for use with the VX2300 system and 2-wire video kits – including the new ERA23V series – combines a high-resolution capacitive touch display with programmable control buttons. The result: intuitive control, smart networking and flexible application options for residential, commercial and mixed-use properties.

Smart, networked and flexible

In addition to operation via the 2-wire bus, the new monitor has integrated Wi-Fi, which enables remote access via the Videx Cloudnected app. This allows users to receive calls, view camera images from door stations and open doors and gates remotely – anytime, anywhere.

Furthermore, the 6789 supports the integration of third-party CCTV systems via RTSP protocol and offers an integrated web browser for remote management, access to event logs and control of smart home functions.

Intelligent convenience functions

The 6789 is equipped with a thermostat and humidity sensor that can be controlled via programmable weekly schedules. In addition, the system enables internal communication between multiple monitors and allows important settings to be adjusted via both the web browser and the Videx Ipure Wizard software.

A desktop mounting kit is available for additional installation flexibility.

Ideal for new builds and retrofits

The new 6789 monitor is fully compatible with other devices in the VX2300 system and is suitable for both new installations and retrofits where modern smart functions are desired.

‘The 6789 marks a major advance in the field of 2-wire video systems. It combines the user-friendliness of a modern touchscreen with features such as remote access, third-party integration and intelligent heating control – all in one device. This makes it the ideal solution for a wide range of applications.’
