Tested quality for SOCs: WinGuard meets VdS requirements for Security Operation Centers

Advancis Software & Services GmbH, an international provider of software-based security and building management solutions, is pleased to announce that its WinGuard X5 PSIM system has now been successfully certified in accordance with the VdS 3534 guideline. The certification underscores WinGuard’s high compatibility with a wide range of security systems and its reliable alarm processing. For customers, this means greater legal certainty and quality.
The WinGuard system has been successfully certified in accordance with VdS guideline 3534. The certification applies to WinGuard X5 from version 5.29 onwards and confirms that the system meets the high requirements for software-based PSIM systems, as specified in particular for safety-critical applications, control center environments, and complex infrastructures in accordance with DIN EN 50518. VdS 3534 is a recognized guideline for PSIM systems that centrally receive, process, document, and control messages from security systems in a manner appropriate to the situation. It ensures that different systems can be reliably linked together and that the underlying software has a high level of operational reliability. This includes stable system architectures, redundancy concepts, secure update mechanisms, and the protection of sensitive data using suitable encryption methods. With this certification, WinGuard demonstrates that the software meets the highest quality and security requirements as the central hub of modern security infrastructures. For operators and installers, this means a high degree of investment and future security, as WinGuard corresponds to the current state of the art and can be integrated into existing and future security architectures on a long-term basis.

“The certification in accordance with VdS 3534 is an important milestone for us and clear proof of the quality and maturity of WinGuard X5,” explains Lars Waldow, Chief Product Officer at Advancis. “It confirms that our software is not only functionally powerful, but also meets the highest normative and security requirements. This gives our customers and partners a high degree of security and planning reliability.” In addition, VdS certification plays an important role in the insurance-related environment. Many property insurers require the use of certified systems for particularly sensitive objects such as industrial plants, data centers, or critical infrastructures. The certification of WinGuard thus facilitates the implementation of corresponding security concepts and increases planning reliability for all parties involved. In the event of an incident, WinGuard enables structured, fast, and traceable response processes that help to minimize damage and control processes efficiently.

With VdS certification, Advancis underscores its commitment to a holistic approach to security solutions. In modern security concepts, software is the connecting element between sensors, actuators, and organizational processes. WinGuard offers a tested, powerful, and reliable platform that meets the increasing demands for security, availability, and compliance with standards.
