[AUSTRIA | 22 May 2026] Following the long-awaited turnaround in 2024, growth in the market for security cylinders accelerated significantly last year. According to the latest BRANCHENRADAR Security Cylinders in Austria report, manufacturers’ revenues grew by 4.1 per cent year-on-year in 2025 to €50.3 million. However, the market was driven exclusively by rising sales prices. Demand, on the other hand, fell moderately by 1.7 per cent year-on-year, not least because, in addition to new construction, the replacement business also weakened slightly. “The average price per security cylinder rose by just under six per cent year-on-year, a trend largely attributed to the rise in copper prices,” said study author Thomas Bruck.
