DATI from Sysnav: Precise protection for lone workers

February 17, 2026

Reliable localisation – even in complex environments and dead zones

Lone workers in industry, logistics, energy supply or infrastructure are exposed to particular risks. Whether working at height, in enclosed areas or in potentially dangerous zones – in an emergency, every minute counts. With the DATI system, Sysnav offers an integrated PTI (Protection du Travailleur Isolé) solution that combines precise localisation, reliable alarms and continuous connectivity.

Automatic event detection without false alarms

The DATI device automatically detects critical situations – such as falls or immobility – and triggers an alarm chain if necessary. Thanks to intelligent sensor technology and individually configurable alarm criteria, false alarms are significantly reduced.

The alarm chain can be fully personalised and allows for an unlimited number of contacts. This ensures that the right people are immediately informed in an emergency – from internal safety officers to external intervention services.

Precise localisation indoors and outdoors

A key feature of Sysnav-DATI is its ability to determine exact locations – both indoors and outdoors.

Outdoors, localisation is carried out via GPS or inertial sensors. Indoors, in basements or complex building structures, high-precision inertial sensors are used. These not only enable position determination within the building, but also identification of the correct floor – a decisive advantage in large industrial facilities or multi-storey buildings.

Precise location information significantly reduces response times and increases the efficiency of rescue or intervention measures.

Protection even in dead spots

So-called ‘white zones’ – areas without stable network coverage – pose a particular security risk. Sysnav offers an optional LoRaWAN-based solution for this. Installing the appropriate infrastructure ensures that alarms can be reliably transmitted even in shielded or underground areas.

The system is compatible with 4G, 5G, WLAN and LoRaWAN networks, ensuring high connectivity across different communication channels.

Integrated complete system with supervision software

In addition to the compact DATI device (8 x 5 x 2 cm, approx. 100 g), the PTI solution includes web-based supervision software and a mobile app for Android and iOS.

This platform allows managers to monitor alarms, visualise locations and document events. The system is supplemented by charging racks for simultaneous charging and updating of the devices, as well as carrying options such as gaiters or belt systems that enable safe and ergonomic use.

The robust housing is shock and splash-proof and offers up to twelve hours of autonomy – sufficient for typical work shifts in industrial environments.

Data protection and compliance with standards

Sysnav is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. The system also meets the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The solution thus combines operational safety with data protection-compliant processing of sensitive location and personal data.

Conclusion

The DATI system from Sysnav stands for modern, technology-based lone worker protection solutions. With precise indoor and outdoor localisation, intelligent alarms and optional LoRaWAN coverage, it offers reliable protection – even in complex or technically demanding network environments.

For companies with increased risk potential, the solution represents a scalable and standards-compliant way to sustainably strengthen occupational safety and significantly reduce response times in an emergency.
