FeuerTrutz Award 2026: Wireless fire alarm technology from Ajax Systems

Digitalisation is also making its mark on preventive fire safety. Networked systems, centralised platforms and wireless technologies are becoming increasingly important, particularly in existing buildings, public facilities and commercial properties. Against this backdrop, the EN54 Line from Ajax Systems was honoured with the FeuerTrutz Award 2026 in the category ‘Technical Fire Protection Systems’.

The FeuerTrutz Award is one of the most prestigious accolades in the German-speaking fire protection sector. It recognises solutions that set new standards in preventative fire protection through technological innovation. The award ceremony took place during the FeuerTrutz trade fair in Nuremberg. The EN54 Line was nominated by EPS Vertriebs GmbH, a strategic partner of Ajax Systems in Germany. The winners were selected by an independent panel of experts together with industry representatives via an online vote.

With the EN54 Line, Ajax Systems is pursuing a consistently wireless system approach for professional fire alarm systems. The solution meets the requirements of the EN 54 series of European standards and is designed for commercial and public buildings where flexible installation concepts are required. By eliminating the need for traditional cabling, modernisation and expansion projects in particular can be implemented efficiently without the need for extensive alterations to the building structure.

A key feature of the platform is the integration of various security functions within a single system. In addition to fire detection technology, intrusion detection systems compliant with EN 50131 (Grade 2), video surveillance and automation functions can also be integrated. Planning, commissioning, remote maintenance and day-to-day operation are managed via central software platforms and mobile applications. In doing so, Ajax Systems is following a trend that is becoming increasingly established in the security industry: rather than isolated, stand-alone solutions, integrated security platforms are gaining in importance, as they connect different systems and reduce administrative burdens.

“It is a great honour for us to receive this recognition at one of Europe’s leading fire safety trade fairs. This award confirms the potential of wireless technologies for professional fire safety,” explained Aljona Gottert, Cluster Director DACH at Ajax Systems. The company also sees the award as confirmation of the continuous development of wireless security solutions and their growing acceptance in the professional market.

With the FeuerTrutz Award, Ajax Systems is strengthening its position in the European market for fire alarm technology. At the same time, the award highlights the technological shift in system-based fire protection. Networked, software-supported and wireless systems are increasingly becoming an alternative for applications where, in addition to fire protection that complies with standards, aspects such as simple installation, remote maintenance and the integration of other security systems play a central role.
