Tobias Theis takes over the management of the Wuppertal-based network specialist W&T

At the turn of the year, Rüdiger Theis handed over the management of the company to his son Tobias Theis after almost 40 years. Having worked in various departments for five years, the Master of Engineering was most recently Head of Development, so the extended responsibility as Managing Director builds on this in a meaningful way. Rüdiger Theis will remain with W&T as a brand ambassador and would like to become more involved with the Winzig Foundation in the future.
For the future of W&T, Tobias Theis is focussing on combining the tried and tested with new ideas. The established component manufacturer’s recipe for success has always been reliability and high quality, both in terms of products and service. With the usual commitment and based on expertise built up over decades, the company is now set to enter the next generation: with new and constantly evolving products, realised in a lively exchange with partners and customers.
Wiesemann & Theis GmbH, founded in 1979, has 50 employees and develops microcomputer and network technology. In addition to the Web-IO, Web-Sensors and USB/Com-Server product families, its range is constantly growing to include IT security products and other products for industry, office and IT. Back in 2001, W&T introduced the Web-Thermometer, the first industrial temperature sensor with a network interface, and can thus draw on over 20 years of experience in Industry 4.0 and IoT.
