ISO 27001: Janz Tec AG strengthens information security and integrated management systems

June 1, 2026

Janz Tec AG, based in Paderborn, has successfully achieved certification to the internationally recognised ISO 27001 standard. As part of a multi-stage combined audit, the existing management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 were also reviewed. The company, which specialises in industrial IT and embedded computing solutions, thus underlines its commitment to information security, quality management and sustainable business processes.

The audit process took place on-site between 20 and 24 April 2026, with a supplementary remote session on 7 May 2026. The first stage of the audit was already successfully completed. Certification was granted by the independent Quality Austria Certification GmbH, whose certifications are internationally recognised through Akkreditierung Austria.

With the ISO 27001 certification, Janz Tec confirms, in particular, its adherence to structured processes for the protection of sensitive company and customer data. For industrial companies, information security is becoming increasingly important from a strategic perspective – not least against the backdrop of stricter regulatory requirements, the growing interconnection of industrial systems, and the rising threat posed by cyberattacks on production and OT environments.

“The successful ISO 27001 certification is an important milestone for us. Information security, stable processes and the responsible handling of data are now key requirements of our customers and partners,” explained Michael Rennerich, CEO of Janz Tec AG. At the same time, the audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 confirmed the company’s commitment to quality and sustainable practices.

The auditors also highlighted the integration of the management systems in particular. According to the managing directors of Quality Austria Holding GmbH, Mag. Christoph Mondl and Dr Werner Paar, the combination of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 demonstrates a consistent approach to the continuous improvement of processes, quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

Particularly in the industrial sector, the integration of quality, environmental and information security management is becoming increasingly relevant. Companies must not only meet regulatory requirements but also create resilient processes for digitalised production and supply chains. Certifications such as ISO 27001 are increasingly serving as proof of robust security and governance structures to customers, partners and regulatory authorities.
