PCS, a leading provider of security solutions, successfully presented its pioneering solutions for the protection of critical infrastructures at this year’s Protekt on 8 and 9 November 2023. The conference in Leipzig attracted more than 400 participants for the first time this year, highlighting the growing importance of critical infrastructure protection in the face of global crises and political developments.

Protekt provided an ideal platform for KRITIS operators to find out about current challenges and familiarise themselves with the latest security technologies. PCS took the opportunity to present its innovative and professional solutions for the physical protection of KRITIS institutions at the conference. The product portfolio at the PCS stand included

  • Powerful access control software
  • Biometric palm vein recognition for high security
  • RFID access readers for all environmental conditions
  • Mechatronic locking systems with wireless networking
  • Video surveillance and management
  • Comprehensive visitor management

The presentation by Stefan Erber, Product Manager at PCS, was a particular highlight. He presented the topic “Maximum protection for KRITIS – biometric palm vein recognition as the method of choice for incorruptible access control”. Stefan Erber explained the advantages of palm vein recognition as an extremely reliable method.

The PCS stand also attracted a high-calibre delegation of leading figures from politics and administration. Prominent visitors included:

The presence of these high-ranking representatives from politics and administration emphasises the importance of PCS and its solutions in the field of securing critical infrastructures.
