Portfolio for surge protection in fire service peripherals expanded

May 6, 2026

Fire safety specialist re’graph Gesellschaft für graphische Infosysteme mbH has comprehensively revised and expanded its portfolio of surge protection (ÜSS) solutions for fire service peripherals. The new system solutions will be presented at FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg at stand 4-326.

The focus is on applications relating to external fire service components such as key depots, isolation switches, control panels or display panels. These systems are often installed outside buildings and connected to the internal infrastructure via cables. This creates potential risks from surges, for example as a result of lightning strikes or switching operations in the power grid.

re’graph’s ÜSS solutions are designed to ensure lightning protection equipotential bonding at the building entrance and to reliably protect connected electrical and electronic systems. These include, in particular, safety-critical equipment such as fire alarm control panels (FACP), which must be protected against excessive voltages.

According to the company, the portfolio has now been structured more clearly and tailored to key application scenarios. The new system solutions comprise four coordinated modules for fire service operations centres (FEZ), fire service information centres (FIZ), key deposit hollow columns, and ring systems such as APLIMO and VAREXplus.

With this update, re’graph is responding to the increasing demands on the technical resilience of modern fire protection and hazard detection systems. Standard-compliant surge protection is becoming increasingly important, particularly at the interfaces between external fire service peripherals and internal building services – especially in the context of networked security architectures and growing system complexity.

The new surge protection portfolio will be presented from 24 to 25 June 2026 at FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg.
