Motorola Solutions, together with customers such as the Brazilian government and the Ghent police force, presented new technological developments for public safety organisations at this year’s Critical Communications World (CCW) in Brussels. The solutions presented were designed to enhance overall security and improve the operational capabilities of security forces worldwide.
The Brazilian government announced at the trade fair the introduction of a nationwide, safety-critical communications solution from Motorola Solutions. The solution combines existing P25, TETRA and DMR radio networks with advanced Push-to-X (MCX) broadband services. This should enable resilient and interoperable communications between security and defence agencies in Brazil and expand access to data-based applications such as video streaming and multimedia.
The Ghent police force also announced at the event that it would be using Motorola Solutions’ LTE-enabled V500 bodycams in future. The aim was to increase the safety of emergency services personnel and improve transparency during operations and situational awareness.
Another highlight of the trade fair was the presentation of a new software version of the DIMETRA X Core platform. This included an innovative eco mode for automatically reducing the energy consumption of TETRA base stations when network utilisation is low. The new DIMETRA Connect function also enabled automatic switching between TETRA and broadband networks, allowing for a seamless transition between different network technologies.
In addition, Motorola Solutions presented the M500E vehicle video solution, an innovation designed specifically for European emergency vehicles. Thanks to its compact design, multi-camera support and integration of the SmartControl app, evidence can be marked, uploaded or played back directly in the vehicle – a clear contribution to increasing efficiency in everyday operations.
‘From Latin America to Europe, security agencies rely on Motorola Solutions’ comprehensive portfolio to better coordinate their forces, share information and ensure their safety,’ said Axel Kukuk, Vice President Europe Sales at Motorola Solutions. ‘Critical Communications World is an important meeting place for our customers and partners worldwide – we are delighted to contribute to the international security dialogue with our solutions.’
Motorola Solutions presented its innovations at CCW from 17 to 19 June 2025 at stand C30 in Brussels.
