Access control system hilock 5000 ZK passes security test

The compasZ 5500 software is used to manage the access control system hilock 5000 ZK from Telenot. The software has now passed the demanding security test of Atruvia AG, the digitalisation partner of the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken. These financial institutions thus have approval to use the system for their locations.

Banks have always been companies that have an increased need for security in almost all areas. After all, the branches usually store considerable amounts of money, material assets and sensitive customer data, which must be protected against unauthorised access and theft. Accordingly, the demands made by the banks on the installed security technology are also high. Before banks are allowed to use the products, they must pass a thorough security test.

At the beginning of January 2023, Telenot’s access management software compasZ 5500 (from version 3.1.0.0.) received the clearance certificate after comprehensive tests by Atruvia AG.

In this test, Telenot’s compasZ 5500 management software clearly exceeded the security level required by Atruvia. The software is part of the flexible and easily scalable access control system hilock 5000 ZK. The interaction of the management software with the hilock 5500 evaluation control unit enables users to implement economical access solutions for any size and type of property. Functional time models can be easily set up, for example, to regulate the opening hours of each individual bank branch. All access rights can be coordinated across locations. Even special routines for public holidays are no problem for the system.

“The approval proves that our access control system as a whole meets all relevant technical as well as security requirements and is therefore suitable for use in the environment of financial institutions – and of course in all other areas where maximum reliability is required,” explains Julian Gring, Product Manager Access Control.

With its versatility and ease of use, compasZ 5500 significantly reduces the time spent on administration and at the same time ensures maximum security. The hilock 5000 ZK also offers countless licence-based applications such as area change control, counting functions, lift control, temporary access authorisation, toggle authorisations or the creation of organisational units and groups. The highest encryption standards ensure maximum security – from the management software to the hilock 5500 evaluation and control device, the RFID (read/write) readers and the transponder. The comprehensive range of intelligent access control readers, mechatronic locking elements and smartphone access solutions enables access control solutions of all kinds.
