FUHR: Automatic locking systems and access solutions

April 24, 2023

FUHR presented innovative solutions in the field of automatic locking systems and smart access solutions at BAU 2023. With a new trade fair stand design and numerous new products, FUHR underlined its consistent orientation towards solutions and the future.

FUHR used the trade fair appearance at this year’s BAU to present itself to the trade public as an attractive partner with a consistent solution orientation. Even the new stand design made it clear that FUHR has set its sights on the future and has taken the step from system provider to solution provider. With product innovations, further developments, but above all with numerous prospects for new products in high-quality locking systems and the convenience and security-relevant access solutions.

FUHR is expanding its diverse, material-related complete ranges to include attractive solutions with new added value, to increase the variety of applications. The special features include above all innovations in the growth segment of the automatic programme, including a completely new automatic series with electrically activated handle, or sophisticated solutions in the area of functional doors, wooden doors and escape doors.
As an example, FUHR presents a double-leaf function door equipped with autotronic 836PK. The automatic multipoint locking system with motorised opening, panic function and switching contacts enables various status queries for integration into burglar alarm systems, escape route security or building management systems. The inactive leaf is equipped with the automatic folding shoot bolt BK346. Combined with a switch lock and a door closer, it ensures automatic locking of the inactive leaf and is thus ideally suited for equipping double-leaf fire doors. The rebate drive deadbolt is available in various versions, matched to solid leaf doors made of timber or steel.

FUHR trade fair highlights: new solutions for automatic multipoint locking systems

The new autosafe 837/autosafe 837P multipoint locking systems with the tried and tested type 10 locking mechanism are making their debut at BAU. They supplement the proven automatic series, which is equally popular among fabricators and dealers, with two attractive solutions that have been specially developed for commercial and passage doors with controlled access. They are characterised by: an electrically activated lever handle for temporary or permanent accessibility of the door, a universal power supply – 12 or 24 volts, switchable from working to standby current as well as the option for various status queries. For escape doors, the panic version autosafe 837P with certification according to EN179/1125 is available.

The autosafe 837PX with induction is a special feature. The innovative automatic multipoint lock with inductive current transmission and electrically activated outside lever handle stands for locking convenience with a future. Characteristic: No wiring in the door leaf – the power supply is contactless via the locking part, so it is optimally suited for retrofitting. Controlled access is via Bluetooth, conveniently with the smartphone or SmartKey. Opening from the inside is guaranteed at all times thanks to the panic function (EN 179/1125).
With further developed panic functions in the automatic escape door locking systems autosafe 833P/835P, more flexibility and economy are now achieved. A 4-in-1 solution scores with panic function B, with which not only the different door directions (DIN left and DIN right), but also the opening directions (inward or outward opening) can be easily changed. Also optimised: the escape door locks with panic function E with daytime operation. If required, a secured day latch function can be achieved from the secured permanent release by simply unscrewing a screw. In this way, the door opening can be controlled by an electric strike, for example.

FUHR trade fair highlights: new access control solutions

SmartConnect door with integrated finger scan is another variant of the smart video door intercom system currently in preparation. In addition to the biometric door opening, the simple finger programming and management in the app is also convincing. All SmartConnect door models are operated intuitively via app and offer location-independent interaction with visitors. At the same time, integrated on- and offline access control as well as SmartHome features are included and enable comprehensive user management.

SmartAccess turns any smartphone into a key, for easy operation of FUHR motorised locks and SmartAccess components via app. With the new Bluetooth access control, doors and gates around the house can be opened with ease. The compact SmartAccess Bluetooth receiver allows quick door opening without internet, without cloud and scores with its minimal installation effort. In addition, the system offers a variety of convenient and security-relevant features. For example, the practical KeylessGo function with the smartphone, also in conjunction with the SmartTouch 2.0 access solutions or the SmartConnect door video intercom system. Or the operation of external components, such as electric openers, garage doors or other motorised locks, which are controlled via a SmartAccess radio module.

SmartTouch

SmartTouch, the easy-grip, keyless convenience opening with the innovative KeylessGo technology – approach, touch, enter – now convinces with an extended function and a new, trendy look. The well-known high-quality stainless steel door handles in various lengths and versions have now been extended by a new door handle in the trendy colour black matt. Also new is the use of the KeylessGo function via smartphone, made possible by the combination with SmartAccess.
