Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, has introduced the new generation of Jetson-based rugged camera sensor hub with GMSL2 connectors: the NRU-51V+ series. For Jetson computing deployments on mobile systems, the series offers fanless operation from -25° C to 60° C, four GMSL2 ports for vehicle or 3D cameras, and 8V to 35V DC input and ignition control in a compact design. With 100 TOPS interference performance and only 25 W power consumption, the NRU-51V+ is the ideal solution for driver assistance systems and autonomous mobile robots (AMR).

The NRU-51V+ is equipped with four GMSL2 ports for improved visibility. It is designed for connection to small waterproof vehicle cameras with an IP67 protection class. Thanks to HDR, automatic white balance and automatic camera exposure, it also adapts easily to dynamic lighting conditions. Vehicles benefit from this, for example, when light conditions change drastically while driving through tunnels – without any loss of quality in the images captured for analysis purposes. It can also be connected to 3D cameras with low latency, including the Intel® RealSense™ D457. Thanks to a longer connection cable, it is also the ideal solution for AMR applications.

In a real, wide temperature range from -25° C to 60° C, Neousys’ effective thermal dissipation ensures unthrottled CPU performance up to 65° C at maximum TDP and in fanless operation. The 8V to 35V DC input and integrated ignition control allow direct battery drive for in-vehicle and automated mobile robot deployment. In addition, the NRU-51V+ supports many I/O interfaces, including 10GbE, CAN 2.0 and M.2 5G/ LTE modules for mobile connectivity.

”The NRU-51V+ is Neousy’s answer to AI applications based on the versatile GMSL2 camera. The GMSL2 interface supports vehicle cameras even in dynamic outdoor lighting conditions. Indoors, 3D cameras are also supported in capturing depth and RGB information. The rugged design of the NRU-51V+ from Neousys will contribute to the accelerated realisation of AMR in warehouses, last mile delivery, smart agriculture or driver assistance systems for off-road vehicles,” said Kaichu Wu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology.
