May 16, 2023

Additions include integration with Suprema BioStar, Pelco VMS, and Hikvision along with improvements to airlock facility and administration functionality

Integrated security manufacturer TDSi announces the release of its latest update to the powerful but highly flexible and secure GARDiS access control software – Version 2.5. The latest enhanced features include integration with Suprema’s BioStar security platform and  Pelco’s Video Management Solutions, along with a new integration module with Hikvision’s video solutions, the update also includes enhanced anti-passback and mantrap/airlock functionalities, and additions to the administration system to enable bulk uploads of identity details.

Tina Baker, Software Project Manager at TDSi commented, “We are very excited to be launching these new additional features to GARDiS. Integration with other security systems is particularly important as security providers and operators look to maximise their investments and have a centralised overview of operations. We have also been working closely with our partners and customers to add additional functionality and convenience to the GARDiS system that makes it even easier to use.”

Suprema BioStar Integration
GARDiS 2.5 features full integration with Suprema’s Biostar software, enabling the GARDiS front end to capture biometric templates, be they fingerprint templates or facial templates, and to distribute those out to the specific readers.

Pelco VMS Integration
TDSi’s GARDiS integration with the Pelco video management suite includes alarms from an access control door / force alarm, or misuse of access cards. It also allows operators to open and close doors directly through the Pelco VMS system.

Hikvision Integration
GARDiS 2.5 also includes support for integration with Hikvision’s HikCentral video solution, via an optional separate module, allowing users to synchronize events, alarms and data between systems, both seamlessly and in real-time.

Further Enhancements
Version 2.5 includes enhanced anti-passback functionality to address minor idiosyncrasies and to make it more intuitive and easier to use. It also includes an enhanced mantrap / airlock compatibility, and tweaks to aid the administration of the system, such as enabling bulk uploads of identities.

Tina added, “The latest enhancements have all been designed to add considerable extra value, with practical and useful additions that meet the needs of end users and our installation partners. GARDiS is continually evolving, and we look forward to unveiling further exciting developments in due course.”
