More security for KRITIS operators with the Operational Technology Security product IRMA

In December 2022, the managers of VIVAVIS and VIDEC signed a partner agreement on cooperation in OT Security. The focus is on the use of the product IRMA. In addition to a know-how transfer, both companies agreed on joint sales and technical support for operators of critical infrastructures.

VIVAVIS is the right partner for VIDEC when it comes to fulfilling OT Security due to its strong presence in the field of energy supply as well as its competence in the field of network control systems and network technology. With the IRMA product, the necessary component for anomaly detection, which is required by both the EnWG and the BSI (“IT-SiG 2.0”), could be included in the VIVAVIS portfolio.

Both companies are planning to intensively develop this partnership soon so that VIVAVIS customers can meet the legal requirements in terms of content and as timely as possible. Training courses, workshops and joint appointments will characterise and round off the cooperation.

Dieter Barelmann, VIDEC management: “We noticed very early on in the discussions that there is a deep self-image of working together as partners. And this trust is also urgently needed in a cooperation if one wants to act successfully also in the sense of the end customers and improved safety requirements. We are looking forward to the joint tasks.”

Jörn Fischer, Business Unit Manager VIVAVIS Sales Germany: “After intensive market analysis, we came to the conclusion that IRMA is the optimal product for us and our customers, i.e., the users of our HIGH-LEIT and EP2000 network control systems, as both the performance and the price are right. This very positive impression has been confirmed by the pragmatic and solution-oriented approach of VIDEC in concluding the partner contract. We are sure that we are well equipped for the new safety challenges in the field of anomaly detection.”
