Matthias Klausing – Celebrating 10 years as CEO of HMF Smart Solutions

November 21, 2022

At the helm of HMF Smart Solutions since 2012: Matthias Klausing has decisively shaped the success of the Lower Saxony-based company, setting the standard over the past ten years as CEO.

HMF Smart Solutions has grown significantly under the leadership of Matthias Klausing: The company headquarters in Bad Münder has expanded into a TETRA technology centre and the development department has been extended. In the newly established Innovation Lab, HMF broadband experts are now working on the state-of-the-art 4G/5G communication solutions of the future.

In addition, the company now has several locations and subsidiaries in Germany, the rest of Europe and Latin America – and as a result the number of employees has almost doubled and the sales area expanded. For the company and its CEO, the ongoing largest and nationwide project in the company’s history remains particularly significant: the implementation of the mission-critical TETRA communication network for the Dutch security and rescue forces (C2000).

Development engineer – PMR expert – “Home-grown product”
Having started off as a development engineer at HMF (then R&S Mobilfunk) 27 years ago, Matthias Klausing soon took the next step in his career to become head of development. With the change of name to Hytera Mobilfunk, the 61-year-old Klausing then took over as CEO in 2012. “This makes Matthias a true “home-grown product” and a proven PMR expert. Customers, business partners and employees appreciate his vast industry and technical knowledge and experience in the professional mobile radio market,” says Martin Hucke, Chief Business Officer and long-time companion.

Matthias Klausing took the opportunity of his 10-year anniversary to make a personal interim statement: “Over the past 10 years, we have achieved a great deal together as HMF. The demands on us and our industry will not diminish in the future, we are in the middle of a process of change. But we are well positioned for this with an excellent team, and that is something of which I am very proud. Our transformation into a system house for broadband systems is progressing well. But we will continue to be one of the leading providers for TETRA projects.”
