Bavaria’s Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann visits the new integrated control centre in Landshut: State-of-the-art technology for responsible work – focusing on the safety of citizens

Bavaria’s Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann visited the new Landshut Integrated Control Centre (ILS) today and congratulated the Landshut Special Purpose Association for Rescue Services and Fire Brigade Alerting on the successful new building in solid timber construction: “Thanks to the great commitment of everyone involved, the Landshut ILS has become one of the most modern control centres in Bavaria.” The new ILS in Landshut-Essenbach has been in operation since October 2022 and also serves as a model for other control centres that are currently being rebuilt or newly constructed. The employees of the control centre face the challenges of their work every day anew for the safety of the citizens. “For them, ’round the clock’ applies in the truest sense of the word. A purpose-orientated construction situation that is geared towards the highly complex technical requirements plays a key role in enabling you to successfully complete your work,” Herrmann emphasised and thanked everyone involved for their commitment.

Herrmann emphasised: “The Free State of Bavaria will continue to support the emergency services in their responsible work so that we can further improve the high quality standard.” In particular, the introduction of a new command and control system and the renovation of the integrated control centre in Geretsried, where dispatchers are trained and educated, are essential for this. “Only through joint efforts will we be able to meet the coming challenges in the usual highly professional manner,” said the Minister of the Interior.
