SALTO presented its SALTO Space system platform in Nuremberg and demonstrated live how retirement and care homes can improve their security and reduce operating costs with an integrated access solution.
SALTO’s electronic access solutions allow buildings, areas and rooms to be clearly structured. In this way, only authorised persons are granted time-limited access to e.g. flats, common rooms, technical areas or offices. Access management is carried out via the browser-based software ProAccess Space, which can be functionally adapted, offers simple handling and provides an overview of the current access rights of all groups of people such as residents, care staff, administrative employees, visitors and service providers at all times.
In addition to doors, SALTO access control also integrates gates, driveways and furniture. This allows, for example, medication, medical equipment, files or personal valuables to be stored securely and removed in a traceable manner, or staff changing rooms and residents’ lockers to be managed centrally.
Care facilities replace mechanical locking systems with SALTO access solutions. In this way, they save time and money because they do not have to re-order and replace keys or cylinders at great expense if keys are lost – they can assign or revoke access rights at the click of a mouse. They also gain flexibility because a change of use of rooms or areas only has to be stored in the software and no work is required on the doors, e.g. by replacing cylinders. This considerably reduces the administrative effort and makes maintenance more efficient.
Furthermore, care providers can automate processes with electronic access control by integrating SALTO solutions into management and IT systems as well as building technology. This includes, for example, the ERP for the exchange of master data or the laundry for the automated dispensing and distribution of uniforms. At the same time, a link with the lighting, heating and blinds control system helps to reduce operating costs.
